Australia has endured the impact of Covid-19 for the last few years. Restrictions across Australian states and local council areas will continue to be fluid as the country opens the license to move about freely for all its citizens.
Focusing on to the future, some of the restrictions experienced in Real Estate may be introduced to manage the respond to future outbreaks in the years to come.
Here are some examples of requirements, limitations, or restrictions which influenced Real Estate across Australia.
Lockdowns or restricted travel
Video (Zoom, Skype, Teams) Inspections were conducted where in person inspections were cancelled. Mainly due to lockdowns, or Restricted travel mandates to within a local government areas.
Home inspection restrictions
Restrictions to in person on premises inspections, resulting in one person per four square meter rules, within an indoor setting, or one person per two square meters within outdoor setting
Masks and mouth coverings
Musk wearing requirements introduced for all participants within an outdoor or indoor setting.
Face mask rules will continue to apply in indoor areas and or in public settings, depending on the environment or health act response, face masks wearing may be relaxed.
Collection of attendance, participants.
Agents are required to collect contact information about all guests, patrons and staff at the time they enter the premises, also to adhere to the Queensland Health QR code requirements.
Covid-19 Safety Plan
Agents are required to have a COVID-19 safety plan in place and provide hand sanitizer.
Real estate agents are expected to ensure their COVID Safety Plans are updated and continue to be implemented (social distancing, hand sanitizer and record keeping etc)
Physical Distancing
People were encouraged to follow physical distancing rules and keep 1.5 meters from people they don’t live with.
Agents had to consider how they can allow customers or groups of people to practice physical distancing when visiting premises.
